Attorney and community leader, Carlos Álvarez has played a key role in strengthening legal and political representation for the Hispanic community in South Florida. He has been involved in civil rights and social justice initiatives. Additionally, known as the “Cuban Comet” he set catching records while playing for the University of Florida Gators, where he figures in their Football Hall of Fame. His brother César L. Álvarez was also honored by FACE in 2020.
