Another famous Cuban actor, Mel Ferrer, was born in New Jersey, the son of a Cuban surgeon. He was a leading actor, director, and producer for most of the second half of the twentieth century. He produced the film Waiting Until Dark (1967) that featured his then-wife Audrey Hepburn.
