Armando González, Past FACE Chair and original and current member of its board, passed away in Miami on Monday, December 20, 2021. He earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University and was Director of Engineering at the Miami Herald Publishing Co., Associate Professor, Faculty of Communication, University of Navarra, Spain, and Visiting Professor in the Balboa Program, Madrid. In addition to being an international newspaper engineering consultant he was a noted opinion columnist at El nuevo Herald. Asfaras his activities within FACE, he was always dedicated to its goals. As far as Cuba, he was always a staunch defender of the cause of its freedom, and he loved his hometown of Cárdenas. As far as his friends, he was as loyal as they come. His smile and pleasant demeanor will be greatly missed, as well as his sharp intellect. FACE extends to his family our deepest sympathies.
